Ocean Park Advises Global Clean Energy Holdings on Strategic Investment from ExxonMobil
February 23, 2022 – Ocean Park advised Global Clean Energy Holdings, Inc. (OTCQX: GCEH) on ExxonMobil’s $125 million strategic investment, which includes an option to acquire up to a 25% equity stake in the company. The investment will help Global Clean Energy advance its renewable diesel production as well as grow its proprietary camelina business in key farming regions in the United States and accelerate expansion into Europe and South America.
“Ocean Park’s biofuels and agribusiness knowledge, financial expertise and insightful analysis were critical to this successful capital raise,” said Richard Palmer, CEO of Global Clean Energy Holdings. “As our integrated farm-to-fuels value chain model has evolved with market conditions, Ocean Park has been a steadfast and valuable partner to us.”
“We are pleased to contribute to Global Clean Energy’s growth and continued success. The rollout of camelina is an exciting new chapter in biofuels. We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Global Clean Energy team on this landmark transaction,” said Bruce Comer, an Ocean Park managing director. “This transaction marks the thirty-fourth successful biofuels transaction for Ocean Park, and we are proud to have earned a high degree of trust as a leading advisor in the renewable fuels and ag sectors.”
